By 2021, we reached our ideal number of winners for the Best of the Best Pharmacy Awards: 25. This allowed us to recognize the top 10 pharmacists, 10 pharmacy technicians, and 5 teams throughout the country. This was our third year of the program, so by this time, we had found a schedule and project management strategy that worked for all teams, our branding was elevated to the highest level, and we had been allocated more budget to the program due to its previous success.
After the winners were announced on Oct. 4, 2021, we received nearly 40 press clips, including local newspapers, magazines, radio, and broadcast media. Additionally, we received close to 100 organic social media posts from winners and their pharmacy brands.
Because we received thousands of nominations in 2020, we wanted to find a way to acknowledge more pharmacy workers in 2021—beyond the 25 winners. To that end, we launched our Finalists program, which honored 30 of the top nominees throughout the country. We also sent Recognition boxes to close to 2,000 pharmacies. Each gift box contained small mementos such as herbal tea, gold star keychains, pens, and notepads. The gifts were sent to let the pharmacies know that they had been nominated by someone in their community and that SingleCare appreciated the work that they do.
